Textile Practice

Willzy’s textile practice combines machine and hand methods of appliqué, embroidery, patchwork and couching in order to transform surplus or reused materials into banners and wall art. The work employs slogans and iconography, often to communicate a specific message. Works have been displayed in the Royal Standard Gallery, as well as on stage at Chester Storehouse as part of a co-curated performance exploring disability activism.
